Epic Mountain Views at this House on Metolius Wedding

Everything about this wedding day was an absolute stunner. The House on Metolius served as the backdrop for the wedding, a private resort and nature reserve right on the Metolius River that boasts two hundred acres of private land. The house itself is atop of a forested hill, for a more relaxed vibe. But down the hill? That’s where the venue really shines with epic mountain views of Mt Jefferson that served as an absolutely stunning backdrop for Danielle & Gorman’s wedding day.

Their Love Story…

Christopher first met Danielle while she was waiting for her actual date to show up. Try as he might, he didn’t think he was doing a good job of impressing her and getting her attention. But a classic Facebook Friend invite at 3:30am confirmed that Christopher did, in fact, get Danielle’s attention.

They were together for 11 years before tying the knot and shared a lot of really great memories. But one of their favorites was taking 4 months off together and traveling through the Southwest in their Airstream. They spent an entire month working their way up the California coast! Not only did they learn that they can live together in a really tight space, they also learned new skills and navigated tough logistics and worked through some big challenges.

But all in all, they each knew the other was “The One” after an evening of effortless conversation with no need to check their phones as they sat in the parking low of a law office gazing upon the Nebraska State Capitol. That’s when they really knew it was the real thing. Christopher used his workaholic tendencies as a guise to get Danielle to New York City with him for a “commercial shoot”. As they went to allegedly meet their photographer in Strawberry Fields, Central Park, Christopher dropped to one knee on the John Lennon “Imagine” mosaic while their photographer captured their rainy day proposal.
