Lavender Spring Inspired Exchange Ballroom Wedding in SE Portland on Film & Digital

I’ve always been a huge fan of the wedding community in Portland and think it’s pretty dang special here. I was really excited to find a new thing in town called Wedding Pro Happy Hour and they’re hosting a get-together for all wedding professionals on the first Thursday of each month.

For the month of April they graciously allowed the Vendors of Color to co-host with myself and Jaime Ta as featured vendors and shine light on our directory for BIPOC wedding vendors. It was pretty dang special to see it all come together in the form of a Lavender Spring inspired Exchange Ballroom wedding in SE Portland.

I was lucky enough to get an opportunity to play and capture the styled shoot on both digital and film using both a point and shoot 35mm camera and my trusty medium format Holga for that lofi vibe. But when we were brought onto the rooftop and saw that view of Portland? I think we all collectively lost our minds, it was such a vibe! It was your typical drizzly Oregon day but it just worked out beautifully for some moody, overcast vibes. I love how you can see some raindrops in a couple shots.

It was a beautiful day at the end of it all and totally worthwhile.
