When I first laid eyes on Shaelyn as she was getting ready at Cape Kiwanda for her elopement I knew I was in for a real treat. She made an absolutely stunning bride in her Rue de Seine gown and I’m not even exaggerating when I say that she was literally turning heads everywhere we went. Then I saw Blaine and I was just blown away by what great hair was in front of me. Y’all make one beautiful couple, is what I’m saying.
Here’s some elopement tips and insight in their own words as written by Shaelyn;
What was your favorite part of your wedding?
My favorite part was the time we spent just the two of us (and our lovely photographer and videographer). Having him hold my hand as we climbed sand dunes and crawled under fences was the easiest, most natural part of the day.
Is there anything you wish you’d done differently?
I love our family….but… I would have stripped it back to the basics and would have only incorporated Blaine and I. Our attention was sometimes diverted to the comfort and happiness of others and I wish we would have known how to be a little more selfish.
Do you have any advice to give anyone who’s planning a wedding? Anything you wish you’d known going into it beforehand?

They didn’t have a ceremony,…

Anna & Ben, what can I say? Their quirkiness and good-natured humor kept me on my toes (and laughing) the whole day. It was apparent that these two did not take themselves too seriously, in fact between their joking around and constant giggles it was pretty dang hard to get some serious portraits done. But…
Tara & Colin were married in Oregon wine country at Youngberg Hill. Tara was a beautiful bride who on her way down to her first look had to take a moment to regain her composure, it was so sweet! We were overlooking the hills of wineries off in the distance and were surrounded by their…
Big Sur holds a special place in my heart, so when Jeff and Rachel reached out to plan their elopement there, I knew it was going to be something magical. From the start, they described their wedding as intimate, casual, and all about celebrating their love in one of the most breathtaking places on Earth….
