Thunder Island Wedding | Rachel & Adam
When I met up with Rachel and Adam at Skamania Lodge for their Thunder Island Wedding it was already starting to drizzle. We had just enough time to get some shots of Rachel in her gown as she was finishing getting ready and went outside for the First Look with Adam. We had just started roasting some marshmallows when the rain started to come down even harder so we had to run inside! When we got to the venue location they already had the beautiful geometric arbor set up but the rain was really coming down. We were scrambling around and preparing for Plan B: to hold the ceremony inside at the Community Center where the reception was to be held. But that didn’t really fit in with their view of their Thunder Island Wedding. As luck would have it, the clouds parted just long enough for us to collectively run outside and hold the quick ceremony with a view of the Columbia River Gorge. It was a beautiful ceremony, full of jokes and love where everyone was all smiles. The cherry on top was having not just one but TWO rainbows during the reception, and we quickly ran outside to get some portraits with them! Make sure you stay til the end for the double rainbow.
