Big Sur Elopement: An Intimate Celebration

Big Sur holds a special place in my heart, so when Jeff and Rachel reached out to plan their elopement there, I knew it was going to be something magical. From the start, they described their wedding as intimate, casual, and all about celebrating their love in one of the most breathtaking places on Earth.
Originally, we talked about an epic engagement session in Yosemite or Havasu Falls. But after Jeff broke his ankle (ouch!), we pivoted to something just as incredible: a sunrise bridal session at Garrapata State Park, just north of Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. The soft morning light over the cliffs and ocean was absolutely stunning and set the tone for their special day.
Their ceremony was a heartfelt, private moment held at the State Park campground, surrounded by the raw beauty of Big Sur. As the day wound down, we captured sunset photos among the towering redwoods, where the golden light filtered through the trees, creating a dreamy and serene atmosphere.
Big Sur always delivers on its promise of awe-inspiring views, and Jeff and Rachelโs elopement was no exception. Their day was full of love, adventure, and the kind of intimacy that makes elopements so special.
