Elegant Multicultural JM Cellars Wedding in Seattle

Allison and Brendan met at a whiskey bar over a pool table on Labor Day weekend back in 2015. Now many years later they were excited to plan for their JM Cellars wedding in Seattle, WA.

As a mixed-race POC couple (Brendan is Indo-Trinidadian and Allison is Chinese-Malaysian) they were drawn to my work as a vendor of color photographing other mixed-race POC couples. They wanted to make sure that they would be able to work with someone that could both celebrate their multi-racial event and capture their beautiful skin tones true to color.

They wanted to use their wedding as an opportunity to show off what they love about the Pacific Northwest to all of their East Coast and Trinidadian friends and family; by sharing stellar food, a real party spirit, and some non-traditional wedding traditions that were a nod to both of their cultures. The rehearsal dinner was held the night before at a bar off of Broadway in Capitol Hill, just after having had their traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony in their home. I think, all in all, we wholeheartedly succeeded with this stunning day.
